Minirin 0.1Mg Tablet

Minirin 0.1Mg is used for the control, treatment and prevention of conditions such as bedwetting, diabetes insipidus, and Von willebrand’s disease. It works by limiting the amount of water eliminated through urination.
Do not use Minirin 0.1Mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of the ingredients present in it. Before using Minirin 0.1Mg Tablet tell your doctor if you are using any prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs, or other herbal and dietary pills and supplements, if you are pregnant and/or breastfeeding, if you have abnormal sodium/potassium blood levels, if you suffer from congestive heart failure, if you have coronary artery disease, if you have a history of migraine headaches, if you have abnormally high/low blood pressure, or if you have any upcoming surgeries. Also let your doctor know your history of medical problems, pre-existing diseases and current health conditions. Extreme caution should be taken while administering this medication to the elderly.

Uses

Minirin 0.1Mg Tab for treatment of: central cranial diabetes insipidus (a condition resulting in unusually large amount of dilute urine production); nocturnal enuresis (bed-wetting); post-hypophysectomy polyuria/ polydipsia (extreme thirst and the continuous production of large volumes of dilute urine following surgical removal of the pituitary gland); hemophilia A/von Willebrand’s disorder (certain types of bleeding disorders in some patients undergoing surgery or following trauma); headache as a consequence of lumbar puncture (a procedure to obtain a sample of fluid from the spine). It is also used in certain diagnostic tests such as renal concentration capacity test (to check kidneys function) or a test for fibrinolytic response (to measure body’s capacity to dissolve blood clots).

How it works

Minirin 0.1Mg Tablet is a synthetic hormone which has an action similar to naturally occurring antidiuretic hormone, vasopressin. Minirin 0.1 mg replaces this naturally occurring hormone, vasopressin in body and helps in maintaining the salt-water balance.

It is pertinent to note that side effects of Minirin 0.1 mg Tablet cannot be anticipated. If any side effects of Minirin 0.1 mgTablet develop or change in intensity, the doctor should be informed as soon as possible.
Minirin 0.1 mg Tablet can cause side effects such as :
  • Flushing of the face
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea

Storage

Minirin Store it at controlled room temperature 20 to 25°C and in an airtight container. Keep away from children. Store the liquid in the refrigerator, do not freeze it.
